Design Studio 5 started off with a group project which is a prepatory assignment which focuses on investigating basic notions of the city and learning from the examples of community library around the world. This assignment introduces us to the basics of urban design and its relation to architecture. The site given is an urban infill and we must study beforehand the programmaic function, society and spatial layouts of a community layout. By having done our site analysis, we were to document our findings into a site analysis which serves as a prelude to our Studio Design 5.
